DAY 1 Arrival in Djerba. You will be greeted by one of our escorts and transfered by private 4x4 to Douz and our ***hotel. Here you will meet with the guide for a short briefing on the rules of driving and safety. Dinner and overnight. DAY 2 Breakfast and transfer to the quad deposit. Get a hold of your vehicle and we're away.....the adventure begins!!!!! The advice from our guide will allow you to make the most of the power and maneuverability of the quads, sscrambling the dunes. A brief stop for lunch and we're off again!! You'll be climbing colossal dunes and fantastic views will be accompanying you all day. In late afternoon we will arrive at a camp already set up by the assistance team for your first night in the heart of the Sahara. As you settle into your bedouin tents, the cooks will be busy preparing your dinner. Sunset is a magical moment, guaranteed to leave you feeling moved!! Dinner around the campfire and overnight in the tent. |

DAY 3 Wake up to admire the dawn. Breakfast and then departure on the quads. Our guides will lead you up and down dunes of varying heights and, always controlling the experience levels within the group, will ensure you have the maximum fun with the utmost safety. This is a unique opportunity that will let you taste the captivating charms of the Sahara. Lunch, a short rest and we depart once more into this phenomenal universe of sand with its incandescent tonalities that shift between ochre and yellow. Dinner and a final overnight under the stars. |

DAY 4 Breakfast in the magnificent Sahara and departure for you last day on the quads. Lunch in a “cafè du desert”, an inimitable experience, placed, as it is, alone in the wilderness. A short break and we depart for return to Douz. Meeting with our 4x4 drivers at Tozeur: the most important town in the south, right on the edge of the Chott El Jerid, the enormous salted lake famous for it's optical illusions caused by the refraction of the light. Tozeur is considered a unique town for it's architecture, characterised by contructions in terracotta brick work which form interessing geometrical shapes on the facades. One of the most famous oasi in the world from where you can admire the sun setting over the 200.000 palms that line the horizon. Dinner and overnight in a **** hotel. DAY 5 Breakfast in the hotel. After 3 days of Quad biking there is nothing better than a full day of just relaxing: swimming pool (covered with heated water), spa treatments (massage, jacuzzi...), shopping (in the local typical markets) and so on...all these things to enliven your day. Lunch on your own. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (Optional local folk evening, for €35 to be paid on site). |

DAY 6 Breakfast in hotel. Departure for a full day in the mountain oasi. From the station of Matlaui we leave on the leggendary Lézard Rouge train, the only way to admire the gorges of Selja, a natural spectacle of great beauty. The train the “red lizard” crawls it's way through tortuous canyons, giving a sense of magic in this journey back in time. We continue by 4x4 onto Mides, considered to be the most beutiful oasis of the mountain due to its view of spectacular rock formations across a canyon chatracterised by curved forms and strong contrasts of colour between each of the emerging rocks. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon we visit Tamerza, a fresh mountain oasis situated in the ancient roman site of Ad Turris, which has served in turn both as a roman defensive stronghold and a Byzantine port. The oasis is barricaded behing a vast chain of granite mountains which open out over a giant canyon from where one can take in the vast plains that lead down to the Chott, the hills of sand beyond and even as far as the great desert itself. Tamerza is an enormous balcony over the Sahara. We now continue onto Chebika, and oasis grown around a spring that erupts into the gorge set between the two mountains that surround us. From here we will return to Tozeur. Dinner and overnight in hotel. DAY 7 Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Djerba with a lunch stop and visit to Matmata, where, hiding in this moon like landscape, are the typical troglodyte houses of the Berber villagers. Looking from above, one sees a hole of about 7/8 meters and all around the courtyard are the various rooms carved out of the rock. Sounds familiar? This is where some of the “Star Wars” scenes were filmed. Finally we arrive at Djerba to our ****hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. DAY 8 Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Djerba airport. |
